Payment of fees is due on the first day of the School Term. Fees are reviewed for the following year in the Spring Term, and announced by the Chairman to parents at the end of that term.

What is included?

Fees include such items as boarding and laundry charges, tuition, lunch (for all students), breakfast and supper (for boarders), textbooks and the majority of options in the activities programme. A few variable expenses are charged as “extras” on the School Account as necessary, such as clothing and additional books, together with certain optional extras, including additional music lessons.

Ways of Paying Fees

Fee Prepayment Scheme

The Trustees of Oakham School offer a Fee Prepayment Scheme whereby one or more lump sum payments may be made by or on behalf of parents to cover all or part of estimated future fees. The Scheme offers a discount against future fees based on the compound interest that would have been earned by the capital sum (and on the reducing balance once fees start to be paid out) during the period it is deposited with the School. The level of discount is set at the time the prepayment is made. Full details of the Scheme are available from the Finance Bursar who will arrange to send you a personalised quotation on request.

Monthly payments

Fees may be paid on a monthly basis through the services of Holmwoods Termtime Collection www.htcschoolfees.com. Leaflets and application forms are available from the School.
