Oakham’s U14 netball team are celebrating a County win after winning all 9 games at the County Tournament to secure their place in the Regional Tournament for the 5th year running (with a break in 2020 due to Covid).
The girls sailed through the tournament undefeated, winning the round-robin competition with 9 wins.
The team were victorious against Loughborough High (6-4), Hinkley Academy (19-1), Uppingham (14-1), St Martins (16-1), Robert Smyth (15-0), Welland Park (12-1), Leicester Grammar (7-4), Ratcliffe (9-4), Catmose (17-3).
Director of Netball and Superleague Champion Lauren Nicholls said, “I am very proud of how they performed and how they coped with the changing weather conditions.”
The team is now through to the Regional Finals which will be held next term.
