Oakhamians have received seven offers from medical schools and four offers to study veterinary medicine.
The School has a long tradition of pupils successfully applying for clinical courses at universities in the UK and elsewhere.
This year’s application cycle has been extremely competitive and very lengthy, with some pupils waiting over sixth months for an offer decision.
According to Dr Andrew Nicoll, Biology teacher with responsibility for our Medical Society: “The continuing effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, government policy and national demographics have all contributed to make this year’s application cycle one of the most competitive of recent years.
“We are very proud of our Form 7 ‘Doc Soc’ pupils who have done extremely well to receive their university offers in such competitive circumstances.”
