Staff and OOs to Share the Stage in Play

Oakham School’s Chris West-Sadler, Head of Voluntary Action, and Phil Lewis, Safeguarding Co-ordinator, are to star in a production of Shakespeare in Love at Stamford Arts Centre this December.

Joining them in the cast are Old Oakhamians Ellie Corrigan (’08) – who is playing Viola, the female lead – and Simon Bysshe (’70). Chris, Phil, Ellie and Simon are members of the Stamford Shoestring Theatre, a long-established and highly-regarded amateur theatre group.

Speaking about the production, Chris West-Sadler explains: “The play is very close to the much-loved film of the same name. It skilfully combines drama, comedy, music, and a bit with a dog – yes, a real dog!”

Shakespeare in Love is showing Tuesday 5 to Saturday 9 December and Thursday 14 to Saturday 16 December. Tickets are available here.
