Pupils’ magical sleepover at the National History Museum

Pupils in Lower 1 took part in a unique and exciting sleepover at the Natural History Museum in London.

They explored the galleries, participated in fun, educational activities and discovered the T-Rex hidden in the shadows of the Dinosaur Gallery. They also watched an educational science show presented by a Museum scientist and made their own T-Rex T-shirts.

As night fell, the pupils set up camp in the Museums spectacular Hintze Hall, where they slept with a 25-metre real blue whale skeleton suspended from the ceiling.

Alison Petit, Teacher of Lower 1, said, It was a magical experience for the pupils, giving them a chance to pause, look up and just take it all in. It was lovely to see them spend more time together, discover the science around them and have fun.

L1 pupil Blake said, “It was really fun. I enjoyed it a lot, I learnt so much, and I would love to go back there again.”
