Oakham School netballers attend England Roses Positional day

Congratulations to Evie (Form 5) and Milly (Form 6) who were invited to attend an England Roses positional trial day at Loughborough University during the last week in August.

Evie and Milly are both Loughborough Lightning Academy players and represent the club in their respective U17 and U15 Competition squads.

Director of Netball and Loughborough Lightning Superleague Champion, Lauren Nicholl said, “I am so pleased for the girls. The Roses Academy trial is full of exceptional talent and to be given this opportunity is a fantastic achievement. They have worked and trained hard to get to this level and they will have gained so much experience from the day.”

Evie and fellow Oakhamian Izzy, who is also a Loughborough Lightning Academy player, are currently competing at the major 2021 School Games National Finals, which runs from 2-5 September at Loughborough University. The schedule for the Games can be found here and some of the games will be streamed on Youtube.
