Girls’ Hockey teams have been enjoying continued success this term, securing wins in several tournaments.
The U16 indoor hockey team won the Midlands Regional Zone with victories over Oundle (2-1) and Rugby School (3-1). They now progress to the Midlands Finals at Repton School on 2 December.
The U14 girls were also winners of the Midlands Regional Zone, triumphing over Oundle (2-0) and Rugby School (1-0). They are looking forward to playing the Midlands Finals at Rugby School on 25 November.
The girls’ 1st XI played their third game in the U18 England Hockey (EH) Schools Tier 1 this week and picked up a 4-0 victory over Trent College. An impressive first half took Oakham into a 3-0 lead with goals from Gabi, Milly and Emily B, before Hannah scored the final goal to wrap up a 4-0 win.
The girls’ U16s beat Felsted 5-0 in the EH Schools Tier 1 cup to progress to round 4. They will play The Perse on Tuesday, 22 November, in the last 16 of the National Cup.
Director of Hockey Chris Prosser said, “I am proud of the teams’ achievements. It has been a busy few weeks, and they have worked very hard, developing their hockey skills, games sense and tactical play. We are now looking forward to the next round of matches.”
