Well done to the cross country runners who represented the School at the Leicester and Rutland County Cross Country Championships held at Ratcliffe.
Assistant Director of Sport (Boys), Trefon Vandoros, tells us more:-
“It was a great day out in the countryside. Not for the last couple of years have we seen sunshine on race day at the Leicester & Rutland County Cross Country Championships at Ratcliffe. Our runners were determined to cross fields, both sports and ploughed, though the latter was always going to be a challenge, rain or no rain.
Regardless of the challenge, these runners have done Oakham proud. They all made such an awesome team, supporting and encouraging each other. It is not surprising we achieved a very honourable set of results.
Although I am very proud of every runner and their placings, there are a few that have stepped up and with incredible achievements.”
