Oakham School Spanish and German teachers are introducing the fun of languages to Lower School pupils within the ‘Activity Program’.
Head of Spanish, Mr Cameron Pauls, tells us more, “Imaginative ideas and fun games are really causing a buzz of excitement to our younger pupils. Last week ‘making’ paella, this week, decorating mugs! Language games add an important element of fun to learning and help to develop a positive association with a new language; one which will hopefully stay with a child for life! The games and activities encourage many different skills; speaking and listening, problem-solving, as well as motor skills. They are also a great opportunity for the children to connect with each other.”
