Congratulations to George N, who has just found out that he has been awarded a choral scholarship to Selwyn College, Cambridge. George received an offer to reading History and Politics earlier in the term, and had subsequently worked with his singing teacher, Miss Moffat, and Director of Music, Mr Davis, to prepare for his audition on 22 March.
Having submitted a video of him performing a Schumann song, George visited Cambridge in the last week of term to undertake a variety of additional tests, including sight-singing and ear tests.
Mr Davis said: “This is a fantastic achievement for George, who is a committed choral and solo singer, and a talented leader of our tenor section in both the Chapel Choir and Chamber Choir.”
