Form 1 pupils visit the Warning Zone

This week the Lower 1 pupils visited The Warning Zone in Leicester, a life skills centre and child safeguarding charity.

Teacher of Lower 1, Mr Matthew Sutterby tells us more:-

“The pupils learnt about a wide range of risks they may face and strategies for dealing with them in their own lives. The interactive real-life scenarios included online safety, a building site, house fires, road and rail dangers and many more.”

“Lower School pupil, Bertie, commented, “It alerted me to the fact that there are more dangers in the home than I thought!”

This is one of many wellbeing activities that Oakham offers as part of its exceptional pastoral care and is excellent preparation for our innovative Body and Mind Programme in the Middle School.
