Describe your art:
My art is a pure form of expression through my interests, hobbies and inspiration. I transfer my observations and surroundings into works of art using composition and aesthetics through numerous mediums.
When did you first become interested in art?
I owe it all to skateboarding. I first became intrigued by artwork when I was introduced to what skateboarding can provide for us. Whilst it is mainly a therapeutic release for me, my friends and family in my local skate scene exposed me to street art, photography and videography, which developed into my favourite styles of art.
What is your favourite tool or material to work with?
For observational art, 35mm film cameras and camcorders are the tools that I always have on my person when travelling. It fascinates me how strongly you can convey emotion through photos and video. However, on canvas, my favourite medium to use is charcoal because of the depth of contrast you can achieve with it.
Where do you find creative inspiration?
When travelling with friends on skate trips, we come across many forms of architectural urban landscape, which are my main forms of creative inspiration. In addition, research into artists who work on urban landscape, desolate or modern, are another source of inspiration for me.
What are you going to study next year?
At University, I will be studying Architecture.
