3rd National Success for Oakham’s Hockey players

Oakham School’s U13 Hockey team are heading to the National Finals following an impressive series of wins at the Regionals.

The boys won every match in the pool stages at the Regionals, beating Madley (5-0), Bromsgrove (2-0), Warwick (2-0) and Trent College (1-0) to secure their place in the semi-final where they beat St Edward’s  (2-1).  They then finished in the top two in the round robin finals – securing their place in the National Finals.

“We are all so incredibly proud of the boys,” says Director of Hockey James Bateman. “All their hard work during training has certainly paid off and they deserve their place in the National Finals. It’s been another incredibly successful year for Hockey at Oakham – with successes at every level and age-group – which showcases the high standards of hockey being played at the School.”
