The 2nd XI football team have been exceptional this year, clinching the league title, still with a game to go, with a 2-1 win over Princethorpe. The side has won every game, scoring 23 goals while only conceding 8 throughout the season.
Nicholas Z has been excellent in goal helped by Crispin H and Captain Alex being solid in front of him in defence. The defence as a whole have been significant to the team’s success, all playing a considerable part in the team having the best defensive record in the league.
Every blade of grass, home and away, have been covered by the midfield, with Elliot and Henry controlling the centre game after game.
The front three of James, Toby and Gabriel have caused the opposition’s defence nightmares week after week, all contributing to the team’s impressive 23-goal tally.
A victory on Thursday of the last week of term has led to the team going unbeaten all season, an impressive feat for any side. Every player of the squad has been immense each being instrumental in the incredible season the squad has had.
“It really has been a team effort, every player in the squad has massively contributed to every victory this year.” 2nd XI coach, Mr Roberts
