Lower School Boarders enjoy a magical 'Hodgewarts' weekend

Oakham School’s youngest boarders enjoyed an action-packed weekend of Harry Potter themed activities, as their boarding home, Hodges, was transformed into ‘Hodgewarts’ in tribute to JK Rowling’s famous school. Children wanting to try out boarding joined in with the fun as part of a very special Boarding Taster Weekend.

National Indoor Athletics Championships success

Congratulations to Form 3 pupil Fabian who has won his first National title at the National Indoor Athletics Championships. He ran the 300m race in 36.65 seconds, which makes him the 3rd fastest U15 indoor 300m runner of all time. His win also means he is now number 1 in the UK rankings.

Art workshop for Teachers as part of the Sketchbook Circle

The Director of Art, Mrs Elinor Brass recently hosted a day of workshops at Oakham School for Art teachers from all over the country as part of a successful collaborative project she runs called the Sketchbook Circle. The project encourages Art teachers to make time for their own personal work.
