Success for Oakham's Hockey Players!

Old Oakhamian Alex Stadler (15) will be representing Germany at the Olympics in Tokyo, as goalkeeper for Germany’s Men’s Olympic hockey squad. The contest starts this weekend, and the team will play five group matches, with the top four in each pool qualifying for the quarter finals.  Their first game will be against Canada this Saturday.

Remarkable performances in uplifting end of year Dance Showcase!

The end of the year Dance Showcase saw pupils from L1 to Form 4 give a remarkable performance of a variety of dance styles including street, jazz, musical theatre, jive and tap dance, to a selection of upbeat songs such as ‘I’m So Excited’, ‘Express Yourself’, and ‘Boogie Wonderland’.

Inspirational visit by one of England's greatest ever rugby players Martin Johnson

Last week Oakham School welcomed Martin Johnson, who captained England to victory in the 2003 Rugby World Cup and is regarded as one of England’s greatest ever rugby players, to help coach the rugby teams.

This week’s Music at Lunchtime recital was a feast of terrific piano playing, courtesy of gifted Form 5 pianists Jan & Obi. After a year of these fellow housemates spurring each other on in the pursuit of pianistic perfection, the recital offered a wonderful opportunity for us to enjoy their impressive music-making.
