Music and Readings for Good Friday 2021

We are pleased to share a Sequence of Music and Readings for Good Friday with the wider Oakham community. This was prepared as our Chapel service for the final week of term, featuring Form 6 readers and the Chamber Choir under the direction of the Chaplain and the Director of Music. This moving sequence intersperses the familiar biblical narrative with reflective music by J S Bach, Ireland, Lotti & Schütz.

I joined Oakham as Chaplain and teacher of Religion and Philosophy in September 2016 from Heathfield School, Ascot where I was Chaplain, taught Religious Studies and gained my PGCE. I was ordained in 2006 and served my curacy in St Leonards-on-Sea before becoming Anglican Chaplain to Worth Abbey School and Priest-in-Charge of St Leonard’s, Turners Hill. I am enjoying continuing the spiritual growth of the School as well as being Chair of the School’s student charity fundraising organisation – OSCA.
