Upper School girls compete in the GAIN Investment Challenge

This Spring term has seen a team of 5 Upper School girls join forces to compete in the annual GAIN Investment Challenge.

Women are under-represented in the world of financial markets, and it is the charity’s drive to inspire and empower the next generation of female investment professionals.

They have undertaken a 6 week programme of events teaching them how to develop a stock pitch for a business. All the more impressive is that this activity has been completely driven by the girls themselves, organising meetings and venues and working as a team to develop a comprehensive and professional stock pitch for Sainsbury. The group also benefitted from the support of an industry professional who has guided them throughout the process and has been an invaluable soundboard for their ideas.

I am an incredibly proud of what the group have achieved. They have been pushed out of their comfort zone but I know that this experience has helped them to develop new skills and will have opened their eyes to new career possibilities.
