Published in EMagazine: Dr Michael Cade-Stewart and Dr Diana Hallam

Congratulations to two members of Oakham’s talented English Department – Dr Diana Hallam and Dr Michael Cade-Stewart – whose work has been published in the latest edition of the EMagazine.

The English & Media Centre’s EMagazine is an incredibly popular quarterly publication for A-level students and we are delighted that pupils and teachers across the country will benefit from the work produced by our teachers.

Helen Jones, Head of English, said: “Dr Hallam’s essay on critical responses to Shakespeare’s Hamlet provides an engaging and valuable exploration of the field. Dr Cade Stewart’s essay on the influence of Yeats and Hardy on Philip Larkin’s poetry is equally compelling and provides insights that will challenge and deepen students’ understanding of Larkin’s works. Having researched Yeats and Larkin as a British Academy Post-doctoral fellow, Dr Cade-Stewart’s expertise brings unparalleled sophistication to the teaching of Larkin at A-level.”
