Lincoln House cross country winners

Congratulations to Lincoln House who were the overall winners of the Lower School inter-house cross country competition, that took place on the last Friday of term.

The event was held on the Wilson Fields and the weather conditions were perfect for the occasion, dry and a little cool. The runners were in excellent spirits, showing tremendous grit and determination.

Lincoln Housemistress, Michelle Northcott, gave praise to her House for their win. “This was the first Lower School inter-house competition for at least 8 months and we certainly made up for it. Lincoln girls ran their hearts out and showed resilience and true team spirit.  We had a warm up dance to our House theme tune “ We are Family” to get their hearts racing and ready! The Lincoln socks and ribbons were on and the great Lincoln flag was certainly flying. Congratulations to all the girls for being a crucial part of the Lincoln team, and a special mention to the following girls”

It was fantastic to see so many runners and supporters alike, making the event very special. It was definitely a highlight of the term and a great opportunity for competition with a hint of personal expression...or was it the other way around. Who could tell? Thank you to my team of coaches, gappies, graddies and helpers for such positivity, help, motivation and support to all the runners."
