Oakhamians were recently part of winning and runner up teams in a drama-based regional challenge designed for A-level language pupils.
Teacher of French Mr Yann Toussaint tells us more:-
"Five Form 6 A-level pupils went to Nottingham Girls’ High School to take part in a full day of Languages and Drama, which included writing a script in their target language, answering interview questions and of course performing their short plays.
Comedy was the preferred style for all teams and they demonstrated real talent. Our pupils were all in different groups and socialised with pupils from other schools. The Spanish teams performed stories about holiday trips going badly and the French groups had plenty of stories about food.
Everyone had a go, leaving inhibitions behind, performing in front of pupils from five other schools and a panel of judges. Two Oakhamians, Helen and Eleanor were part of the winning and runner up teams. Well done!”
