Tarde de Cine
4 December 2015
On a mission to increase our academic enrichment for all forms, the Spanish department has held its first termly film evening for Sixth and Seventh Formers.
The film was El Libro de la Vida, by acclaimed director Guillermo del Toro of Pan’s Labyrinth (El Laberinto del Fauno) fame. This animation centered on El Día de Los Muertos (the day of the dead), central to Mexican tradition which naturally has links to Upper School topic areas for both IB and AS/A2 courses. The evening was extremely well attended and enjoyed by all – I think the pizzas from the aptly named Amigos went down very well especially. Thank you to all who attended to make the evening a success.
