Spanish Film and Pizza Evening
The Ashburton Hall was filled once again for the Spanish Department’s termly Film and Pizza evening.
Mr Cameron Pauls Head of Spanish tells us more:-
“Keen to celebrate the diverse cultures of the Spanish speaking world, the theme was El Día de Los Muertos, the day of the dead, and a take on the Mexican view of All Saints/Halloween, with a showing of Adrian Molina’s, Academy Award-winning animated film Coco. The story is about a young boy, Miguel, and his dreams of becoming an accomplished musician like his idol Ernesto de la Cruz, despite his family's generations-old ban on music. Desperate to prove his talent, Miguel finds himself in the stunning and colourful Land of the Dead where he embarks on a trail of adventure. The film won Best Animated Film at the BAFTA Awards and the Golden Globe Awards, and didn’t disappoint our Oakhamians."
