We are delighted to be joined by the acclaimed five-part, unconducted vocal consort Eo Nomine for a concert of stunning vocal music in the school chapel. Their programme aims to provide the briefest glimpse into the relationship between liturgical and secular music, starting with religious Renaissance and Baroque works from composers such as Gesualdo, Schütz and Sweelinck before moving on to works from the last 150 years including music by Warlock, Delius and Angus McPhee OO. The final work, Britten’s Sacred and Profane rounds off their theme perfectly as it sets a mix of both religious and secular texts with equal musical care.
