Actors from Oakham School took part in the world-renowned Edinburgh Fringe Festival, performing a show based on the Canterbury Tales by Geoffrey Chaucer.
The students took part in intense rehearsals over the summer holidays before travelling to Edinburgh to perform before audiences. They also took their production out onto the streets to promote their show - performing for the crowds on the Royal Mile.
Gilly Norell, Director of Drama said, “It is a fantastic experience for the students to learn and develop their talents at one of the largest arts festivals in the world. It is also great seeing the group enjoying and being inspired by the extraordinary range and variety of theatre on offer. ”
As well as attending the Edinburgh Festival, Upper School students also have the opportunity to visit the National Student Drama Festival (NSDF) - both of which are popular events in Oakham Drama's calendar.
