Pupils from Forms 5 to 7 were invited to attend the annual Careers Fair, which took place just before the half-term break. With over 30 employers ranging from the worlds of law, medicine, business and finance, property, hospitality and the creative arts, there was a wide range of different career opportunities on offer for students to consider.
This year, students also attended talks on working in the Financial Services and explored the various options available to them at University.
Careers & Middle School Administrator Helen Elliot said, “We are extremely grateful for the parents, OOs and local employers who gave up their time to help many of our students make informed decisions about their future. It was wonderful to hear their positive feedback too - commending the students on their attitude, interest and engagement. ”
The School works closely with external partners and contacts, as well as its extensive alumni network, to introduce students to careers and work experience. Numerous additional events are hosted each year, including a HE Fair, a Science Guest Night, Careers Week, and University Day. To find out more about the careers department at Oakham click here.
