Congratulations to the U14 Girls Hockey team who have been crowned champions at the Tier 1 County Hockey Finals.

The tournament saw a three-way tie for the top spot, which the girls clinched due to the greater number of goals they had scored.

The team beat Uppingham 2-0 and narrowly missed out on a win vs Loughborough 1-0.

Mr James Bateman, Director of Hockey said, “The girls displayed fantastic team spirit and positivity throughout the matches, which were highly competitive and hard-fought. They are now looking forward to playing in the Zonal competition after half-term.”

Oakham U16 Girls also performed superbly last weekend in the second round of the National Cup hockey tournament winning 3-2 vs Oundle. This competition is a knockout format and their next game will be after half-term where they will play either Rugby School or Northampton High School.
