Great Start to the season for Oakham's U15 hockey players

Oakham’s U15 hockey players are enjoying an outstanding start to the season – the U15 A team are yet to concede a goal and the U15 B team are continuing last year’s unbeaten season.

Both teams have played, and successfully beaten, Oundle and Trent College.

“It’s fantastic to see the strength of Oakham’s next generation of Hockey players,” says Director of Hockey James Batemen.  “Whilst the School’s 1st XI has enjoyed considerable success over recent years, it’s great to see our training and coaching really paying off for our younger players, who will, in time progress up to the U18 teams.”

Oakham’s Hockey certainly deserves its national reputation – especially given that last week it was announced that Old Oakhamian Kathyrn Lane has been selected for the Tokyo Olympic Hockey Squad, and the School’s U18 team reached yet another national finals (making it four years running!)
