Form 7 Artists visit the Tate Modern for inspiration

Pre-U Seventh Formers studying Painting or Sculpture and IB Diploma pupils recently visited the Tate Modern for inspiration for their projects.

Director of Art, Mrs Elinor Brass tells us more:-

"There is currently an outstanding exhibition at the Tate Modern by the Norwegian artist Olafur Eliasson, called ‘In Real Life’. His immersive artworks really captured the students’ imagination, helping them to consider what qualifies something as art.

The vast Tate collection also presented lots of ideas to support these young artists in their research for their practical projects and their written research assignments.  Everyone returned to school with lots of sketches, notes and photographs eager to follow up on their new ideas.”
