Form 4 Artists enjoyed a visit to Pitt Rivers, the Museum of Natural History and the Ashmolean in Oxford last week.
Teacher of Art and Design Mr Vladimir Pamihov tells us more:-
“The trip was an exciting experience for many, as the pupils visited the Oxford Museum of Natural History, which includes collections of animals, plants, fungi, ecosystems etc. They also explored the Pitt Rivers Museum, which displays archaeological and anthropological collections of the University of Oxford. The day ended with a visit to the Ashmolean Museum, which had an array of collections ranging from Egyptian mummies to contemporary art. The students spent their time increasing their knowledge of cultural experiences, exploring texture and sketching the exhibits producing some outstanding work for their GCSE Art coursework projects. Overall, an enjoyable and fruitful day with many smiles throughout!”
