Form 2 enjoyed a combined Religion, Philosophy and Geography trip to Leicester, visiting the Mosque and Mandir. They also made geographical observations and explored the fine surroundings in nearby Bradgate Park.
The pupils listened attentively to the engaging guides at both the Mosque and Mandir - asking many interesting questions along the way. They showed a particular interest in the prayer rituals and were amazed that these impressive religious buildings also had sporting facilities inside them - including a five a side football pitch.
At Bradgate Park, they not only scrambled up to Old John’s tower and drew field sketches, but they also had great fun walking through the deer park and along the delightfully picturesque River Lin.
Helen Foster Teacher of Geography said, “It was a fantastic day with an enthusiastic year group. We were all enriched by our learning experiences and enjoyed ourselves so much in the park, we would have liked to have spent more time there."
