Cameron, a Form 7 student Sports Scholar is making waves on the rugby pitch – having represented England last weekend in the U18 match against France.
Cameron’s talents have been recognised by Leicester Tigers, where he’s been appointed captain of their Academy Team and was selected to play in the Senior team in the final of the Anglo-Welsh Cup.
In preparation for his first England game, Cameron attended a four-day development camp in Bristol, along with the rest of the 42-man squad.
“It is brilliant to see Cameron leading the way at national, club and school level,” says Director of Coaching and Former Leicester Tigers coach and player Ian Smith. “I am certain that many of our current players will be inspired to follow in his footsteps.”
Oakham has a long history of producing outstanding rugby players – including Lewis Moody and Alex Goode, Tom Croft and Matt Smith, and Hamish Watson, who currently plays Rugby for Scotland.
