Amy wins Gold at the Regional British Schools Midland Judo competition!

For the third year running, Amy has won a medal for the Midlands at the British Schools Regional Championships!

The competition, which took place in Coventry, saw Amy both win her category and then, for competition experience, she competed against older girls. Despite the age difference, she won two out of her three additional fights.

Amy, who is in Form 3 at Oakham, is a green-belt 10th mon, who has been practising judo for four years at Vale Judo.

Having won gold, Amy is thrilled to have been guaranteed a place in the British Schools National finals in Sheffield next year, where she will represent Oakham School.

Amy’s gold medal is yet another accolade, having this year won gold at the IAPS Judo Congress for Girls in High Wycombe.
