Chamber Choir perform at the Brandenburg Choral Festival
22 January 2014
Oakham’s Chamber Choir executed a challenging programme of music at the Brandenburg Choral Festival in the beautiful setting of St Clement Danes Church, the Central Church of the Royal Air Force.
The audience was treated to music by Finzi, Williams and Old Oakhamian Tom Wiggall, as well as a dramatic performance of Bernstein's much-loved Chichester Psalms and the London première of Cecilia McDowall's Light out of Darkness.
The Chamber Choir was joined by fantastic treble soloist Andrew Jones, and we were also delighted to welcome back Christina Slominska, a former teacher of percussion at Oakham, and Old Oakhamian harpist Elizabeth Bass.
Congratulations to the Choir and to Mr Davis, Mr Chatterton and Miss Law for a polished and very enjoyable concert.
