Master-in-charge Mr Adam Williams

Over 40 pupils, from Jerwoods through to the Upper School, play and practise at Luffenham Heath GC and also play at Rutland Water GC and Greetham Valley GC. School matches take place on superb golf courses around the country, including ex-Ryder Cup venues such as Lindrick GC.

Golf is played all year round mainly at inter school level but Oakham also competes successfully in Regional and National tournaments. These tournaments are a mixture of scratch matchplay and foursomes. The squad also tours each year giving young golfers the wonderful opportunity to experience a range of courses, conditions and opposition.

The School team is active within the Independent Schools Golf Association and represented the region at the national finals this year at St Andrew’s. Golf is open to girls and boys alike throughout the year.
