Vikings Visit Jerwoods

On Monday 8th October the children of Lower 1 Oakham School were visited by Clan Wulfhar, a Peterborough based Viking Re-enactment group.
They spent the day learning not only about the history of the Vikings, but also about their everyday lives and habits. Highlights included a visit to aViking hospital, a lesson in household management from the wife of a warlord and training in weapons of all shapes and sizes. They ended the day with a Viking feast and a demonstration of Viking fighting skills.
