Estates team complete £425,000 of improvements

Estates staff have been hard at work during the lengthy summer school holiday period, carrying out improvements across the Oakham School campus.
A variety of projects, costing in the region of £425,000, have been carried out by the school’s own skilled estates teams.
Individual projects include:
- A new Sports Hall roof and new electrics costing £100,000 (this will increase to approximately £130,000 once solar panels are fitted)
- £80,000 of refurbishments in several boarding houses including Chapmans, Stevens, Jerwoods, Wharflands & School House
- Improvements in the Ashburton building, including stripping out Ashburton Hall
- £70,000 of further improvements in Science, including refurbishment of the chemistry labs and completion of new facilities
