For entry at 16+ into our Upper School

The minimum entry requirement is a satisfactory academic report and character reference from the candidate's Headmaster or Headmistress, indicating that the student is likely to gain seven GCSEs, including English and Mathematics, at Grade B or better.

After visiting the School, applicants may be offered a place conditional on satisfactory GCSE results. Special arrangements are made for overseas candidates. Those applicants whose first language is not English must also pass Oakham School's own English Language test.
