A Level

Oakham’s 2009 A level leavers have much to be pleased about. Their ability, commitment and hard work have brought rewards of which they and their teachers can feel justly proud.

  • Our students' A/B pass rate is just over 80%
  • 52.7% of all our students' grades are As
  • 40 pupils gained 3 or more A grades

International Baccalaureate
Points are out of a possible 45

  • Our 62 IB candidates achieved a 100% pass rate
  • 20 (32%) achieved 40+ points out of the possible 45. Worldwide only 5.3% of students achieve this
  • Oakham’s average points score was 36.7 (the worldwide average is 29.5)
  • This is the equivalent of 77.9% A/B passes at A Level (all grades 7 and 6 and 50% of 5 grades)

GCSE

It has been a stunningly successful year for GCSE students at Oakham School. Amongst many individual success stories at Oakham, three pupils Leah Adeniran, Rayyan Anawr and Lara Clift take pride of place having all achieved a clean sweep of 11 A* grades

  • a new school record has been achieved with 68% of all GCSE passes at A* and A grade
  • all Oakham pupils have achieved at least five A* - C grade GCSEs
  • almost 80% of all Oakham students achieved at least five A*/A grades.
